The Annual Bishop’s Charities Dinner Dance, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus in the Hamilton area, takes place tomorrow evening. Our sympathies to Fr. Peter Ciallella, C.S., and the entire Ciallella family on the death of his father, Antonio this week. The Lenten Season begins on Ash Wednesday, March 5. Living Every Day with Passion and Purpose is a four-hour program offered at St. Alfred’s Catholic Church in St. Catherina by Matthew Kelly, author of the popular book, “Rediscover Catholicism”…

Father Adam Voisin and Monsignor Murray Kroetsch were the main presenters at the Convocation for Priests yesterday. Thanks to our Judicial Vicar and our Chancellor for their good work! The Catholic Youth Organization currently serves over 2300 young athletes. Next Thursday evening they hold their Annual Celebrity Dinner. Five Restaurants in Hamilton and Ancaster are supporting St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton over the coming month. Dine at the restaurant and 10% of the profit will be given to the Hospital.

Please pray for Father Harry Schmuck, who suffered a heart attack yesterday and is in serious condition. The meeting of the Bishops of America studied the Concluding Document of the V General Conference of the Bishops of Latin America and the Caribbean… The Priests of the Diocese are reminded of the Convocation scheduled for next Thursday, February 20th, beginning at 1pm. Parish Ministers will meet at Ardree next week for their own version of Conversations at Ardree…

The Catholic Leadership Institute sponsors a 20-month program called Good Shepherd, Good Leaders. Almost 50 of the Priests of the Diocese have signed up for the program. The Knights of Columbus in Hamilton and Halton are completing preparations for this year’s Bishop’s Charity Dinner Dance. See a Knight if you want a ticket.
