Pope Benedict XVI declared St. Kateri Tekakwitha to be protectress of Canada during the canonization ceremony last Sunday, The Priests’ Seminar ended yesterday afternoon following two excellent presentations by Cardinal Thomas Collins, Father Earl Talbot is appointed Episcopal Vicar for priests. This appointment was announced at the conclusion of the Priests’ Seminar.

Saint Kateri Tekakwitha will be canonized on Sunday by Pope Benedict XVI, Dr. Katherine Bergman, President and Vice-Chancellor of St. Jerome’s University, will be formally installed at a ceremony at the University on Sunday afternoon, Monsignor Joseph Sach offers thanks to the many people who have prayed for him during his recent illness

Thursday, October 11th is the beginning of the Year of Faith and marks the 50th Anniversary of the opening of the Second Vatican Council, we will mark the event with a special celebration of Evening Prayer, this week we welcomed Ms. Christina Ronzio as the new Director of the Liturgy Office, Bishop Gerard Bergie, Fr. Phil Sherlock and Fr. Paul Boucher, all graduates of cathedral high school, participated at the 100th anniversary mass at the school last Sunday.
