Training for Providing Grief Programs

Grief is an emotional experience that all people face at one time or another. Many parishes have made the decision to offer a grief program for the members of their parish and/or community who have lost a loved one and are looking for support.

The Family Ministry Office can provide you with details on programs to offer, or support on other ways that you can provide some care within the parish. Training sessions will be posted when they are being offered, but we are happy to provide parish information at any time.

Training is important before you offer grief support so that all involved will understand some of the important concepts needed to provide help when someone is grieving. Be prepared and provide good and solid programming.
