Vicar for Education

Msgr. Con O’Mahony serves as the Vicar for Education in the Diocese of Hamilton, and assists the Bishop in promoting the Church’s commitment to high quality Catholic Education and Faith Formation in the Diocese and to liaise with those working in the in the field of education at all levels.

The Diocese of Hamilton also supports the pastoral care of students at McMaster University in Hamilton, The University of Guelph, The University of Waterloo and Laurier University in Waterloo.

The Partners in Catholic Education in the Diocese of Hamilton

The Partners in Catholic Education in the Diocese of Hamilton recognizes Catholic education as a lifelong process, from kindergarten to university and beyond. The Partners are committed to supporting all partners in nourishing, promoting and enriching the Youth’s relationship with God. Since 2012, the partners collaboratecelebrate and communicate together in order to facilitate faith formation in our diverse 21st Century world.

Three Priorities of the Partnership:

  1. We will promote, develop and share human resources, facilities, programs to nurture Catholic Education across the diocese.
  2. We will gather together in celebration of Catholic Education across the diocese.
  3. We will harness opportunities to promote communication and dialogue among partners in order to enrich Catholic Education across the diocese.
