Synod on Young People and Vocational Discernment

“The Church has decided to examine herself on how she can lead young people to recognize and accept the call to the fullness of life and love, and to ask young people to help her in identifying the most effective ways to announce the Good News today.” (Preparatory Document, Introduction)

Bishop Crosby with Youth

In January of 2017, the General Secretariat of the Synod of Bishops issued a preparatory document for the XV Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops which will take place in October of 2018.  The theme for the Synod is, “Young People, the Faith and Vocational Discernment.”  The Diocese of Hamilton warmly welcome young people aged 16-29 to share their voice with the Universal Catholic Church and to offer insight on how we as a Diocese can be supporting our youth along their faith journey.
