Amoris Laetitia: "The Joy of Love"
Faith begins in the Family: Bring your Views and News
Saturday, October 20, 2018
“The family is the community in which, from childhood, one can learn moral values, begin to honor God, and make good use of freedom. Family life is an initiation into life in society. (CCC #2207)” Home is the setting where an individual’s physical, mental, emotional and spiritual growth is supported. Like a garden, a home must be tended, appreciated, nurtured and respected in order to thrive. As Pope Francis describes, in Amoris Laetitia: "The Joy of Love", families today need more support than ever as they raise the future generation of the Church. His document was meant to be a working document to support families. Let’s talk about how we can create Family Ministry within a parish: what is needed, what is possible, what are your thoughts? All are invited to join us on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018 to provide input, practical advice on how we can create strong family ministry and how we can help parents and children thrive and grow in their faith, connect to their church community and invigorate parish life.
