There is a variety of grief programs offered throughout the Diocese. Many use the Diocesan resources from Dr. Bill Webster. There are also other excellent resources available through the Diocesan Library. Please call Teresa Hartnett at 905-528-7988 ext. 2250 for recommendations for your needs.
Programs Offered in Hamilton Area
When Life Changes
PART TWO: This 6-week program using Dr. Bill Webster’s grief material, this program is intended to help you to understand your grief and provides practical tips for helping you through. In Hamilton, this program is offered twice a year, in the Spring and Fall and all are welcome to attend. Programs are provided by trained facilitators.
Dates for PART 2 : Wednesday evenings from September 10 to October 15, 2025. From 7pm-8:30pm

Heartache to Healing
Monthly Informal Grief Support Group (drop by when you can!)
Join us on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 7:00 pm for an informal gathering to learn, support one another, share and socialize. These ongoing sessions provide familiar support from the group as you continue on your grief journey. Location: St. Michael’s Parish Waterloo, 80 University Ave. W. Waterloo. NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED

- Now What? – A comprehensive pamphlet/booklet to assist those experiencing loss; provides an overview of what they may be experiencing and how they can support themselves at this time of loss. (Cost: $5.00)
- When Someone You Care About is Grieving – A pamphlet/booklet designed to assist people who are trying to support someone through the grief journey. (Cost: $2.00)
- When Families Grieve – this is a package put together by the creators of Sesame Street to assist families in helping their children through the grief process. (No Charge)
