Collection for the Needs of the Church in Canada

The annual Collection for the Needs of the Church in Canada will take place on 26 and 27 September 2026. Each year, this Collection gives Catholics an opportunity to support the mission of their own diocese or eparchy while joining with the faithful across the country in supporting the shared work of the Bishops of Canada through the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB).
Through this common support, the Bishops are able to undertake pastoral work that no single diocese or eparchy could accomplish alone. This includes national initiatives in evangelization and faith formation, promoting respect for human life and the dignity of every human person, accompanying migrants and refugees, and developing pastoral resources that serve dioceses, eparchies, parishes and the faithful throughout Canada.
What begins as a gift in a local parish becomes part of the shared mission of the Church across the country. By supporting this Collection, Catholics help strengthen the Church in their own communities while making possible pastoral work that serves the faithful from coast to coast.
