Honouring Lifelong Love: Wedding Anniversary Mass 2025
Date posted on June 10, 2025
On June 1, 2025, the Cathedral Basilica of Christ the King was filled with joy and gratitude as the Diocese of Hamilton celebrated its Annual Wedding Anniversary Mass. Bishop Douglas Crosby, OMI, served as the principal celebrant, joined by Bishop Wayne Lobsinger, Msgr. Murray Kroetsch, Msgr. Edward Sheridan, and Fr. David Wynen.
The Mass recognized couples celebrating significant milestones: 25, 40, 50, 60, and even more than 60 years of marriage. Together, these couples represented an astonishing 15,334 years of marriage — a testament to their enduring commitment, faith, and love.
In his homily, Bishop Crosby highlighted the profound witness these couples offer to the Church and community. Their shared years stand as a testament to the sacrament of marriage, embodying love, patience, and fidelity through the seasons of life.
Congratulations to all the couples who renewed their vows and celebrated this remarkable occasion. May God continue to bless each of them in their journey together.
