Highlights from the 2024 Ordination to the Priesthood

On the beautiful sunny morning of Saturday, July 20th, 2024, the Cathedral Basilica of Christ the King was filled with joy and reverence as the Diocese welcomed two new priests. Luis Cordeiro Inacio and William Meehan were ordained to the priesthood in a solemn and uplifting ordination, marking a significant milestone in their spiritual journey and the life of our faith community.

The Most Reverend Bishop Douglas Crosby, OMI, served as the principal celebrant, with concelebrants including Most Reverend Bishop Wayne Lobsinger and Most Reverend Monsignor Murray Kroetsch, along with numerous priests from across the Diocese and family, friends, and parishioners alike, all joining together in this momentous celebration.

In his homily, Bishop Crosby encouraged Father Luis and Father William to be steadfast in their mission to guide and serve the faithful, drawing inspiration from the example of Christ, the Good Shepherd.
