Colin Carriere excelled in extracurriculars during his time at St. Benedict Catholic Secondary School. He participated in both the cross country and track and field teams, as well as volunteered to help organize and run the elementary students’ cross country meet. Colin also was on the school’s curling team in grades 11 and 12.

Colin could also be found in the concert band, playing for multiple assemblies as the drummer, including the school productions of Annie and Elf the Musical. He was also on stage as an ensemble cast for the school production of Beauty and the Beast.

In his spare time, Colin volunteered for the St. Vincent de Paul Organization.

Post-graduation, Colin has plans to attend Sheridan College for the Art Fundamentals program.

The Diocese of Hamilton Award is given to a student in the graduating class in every high school across the Diocese at the end of every school year. The Award recognizes a student in the graduating class who has attained high academic proficiency and exemplifies Catholic leadership qualities, Christian values and a commitment to service in the community.
