Highlights from the 2023 Bishop’s Charities Invitational Golf Tournament

On Wednesday, June 7th, 2023, over 120 golfers gathered at Glen Abbey Golf Club in Oakville for the Bishop’s Charities Invitational Golf Tournament. It was a beautiful day for golf, and the DeMazenod Door Outreach at St. Patrick Parish was the big winner! Joe Guagliano’s team took the top prize – 11 under par! Ed Walzak scored a hole-in-one on the 12th hole, winning a cash prize. And Vic Abradjian won the 50/50 draw – and donated it back! Thanks to LiUNA, and all who sponsored the event! A real success!

The Bishop’s Charities supports charitable causes within the Diocese of Hamilton and across the country. These initiatives support the poor and marginalized; children and youth facing difficulties; those faced with homelessness, mental health issues, and struggles with addictions; and various other related areas of need. About De Mazenod Door Outreach

De Mazenod Door Outreach is a Canadian registered charity and ‘beyond the walls’ ministry that supports the poor and marginalized in inner-city Hamilton. Since its inception in 2012, the “The Door” has grown and now provides two daily meals (breakfast and lunch) to Hamilton’s hungry and homeless, often serving 500 meals or more, 365 days per year.
