When it does not feel like "Peace on Earth", know that you are not alone. On Sunday, December 2nd, Coping with the Holiday takes place at 1:30-3:30pm at the Chancery Office, followed by the Healing Mass for Those Mourning the Loss of a Child at the Cathedral Basilica at 4pm.

The Red Mass is a tradition that marks the opening of the Fall Assizes of the Supreme Court of Ontario. The Red Mass gets its name from the vestments of the priests, the robes of the judges, the tongues of fire symbolic of the Holy Spirit and the festive red of the courts. On the evening of Sunday, April 29th, the Cathedral Basilica of Christ the King was filled pew to pew for Sing for Joy, a concert in celebration of acquiring all seven volumes of the Heritage Edition of The Saint John's Bible. The music heard that evening was inspired by the hand-written and hand-illuminated Bible intended to "ignite the imagination."

On Monday, March 26, 2018, the Chrism Mass was held at the Cathedral Basilica of Christ the King in Hamilton. Bishop Crosby concelebrated the Mass with his college of Priests and was also joined by Archbishop MacDonald. During this Mass, Bishop Crosby consecrates the Holy Chrism and blesses the other oils, and manifests the communion of Priests with their Bishop.

The Rite of Election is celebrated on or near the First Sunday of Lent with all adults and children of catechetical age who are completing their period of preparation, who have found strength in Godâ€™s grace and support in the prayer and example of the community.
