DILEXI TE: On Love for the Poor is the title of the first Apostolic Exhortation of Pope Leo XIV. It highlights the Church’s love for the poor in scripture, tradition, Church teaching and pastoral practice. It calls us to listen to the cry of the poor amidst the great crises of our time, to encounter them, to walk with them. Thus, the relationship between the very mission of the Church and our personal as well as communal responses becomes clearer and stronger. (From a letter penned by Cardinal Michael Czerny, S.J., Prefect of Integral Human Development, October 2, 2025.)

AN ARTICLE IN A RECENT EDITION of The Catholic Register featured the revitalization of Youth Ministry around Ontario, particularly in the Diocese of Hamilton. Please check out the encouraging article here.

LAST EVENING’S HARVEST DINNER FUNDRAISER for the Good Shepherd Ministries of the Brothers of Saint John of God, held at Carmen’s Event Centre in Hamilton, was a huge success. It was their largest gathering in many years, celebrating the many social services offered by the Brothers, the Good Shepherd Ministries staff and volunteers. We salute the Brothers who were invited to minister in Hamilton by Bishop Joseph Ryan. The 25th annual dinner was a milestone of community support for their important service! Thanks to parishes and parishioners who support the good works of the Brothers!

Our Lady of the Annunciation, pray for us!
