Wedding Anniversary Mass

Heart to Heart: Issue #545

THE 2024 WEDDING ANNIVERSARY MASS welcomed over 350 couples celebrating 25, 40, 50, and 60+ years of married life, totaling a remarkable 16,000 years! Two couples marked their 76th anniversaries! The highlight of the event was the profession of anniversary promises – sealed with a kiss that echoed throughout the Cathedral! Celebrating couples received a floral piece and a marriage anniversary certificate. The fine weather added to the beauty of the occasion. Thanks to Teresa Hartnett and Sarah Lintott in our Family Ministry Office for their hard work in assuring the success of this memorable event!

ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH in Burlington celebrates 175 years as a parish this Sunday! A special anniversary Mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m., followed by a banquet on Sunday evening. The remarkable anniversary demonstrates the long history of several parishes in the Diocese that pre-date the foundation of the Diocese itself! Congratulations to Monsignor Pierre-Philippe Jean-Pierre, Pastor, and his anniversary committee for organizing the historic event!

THE DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO QUEBEC CITY to celebrate the 350th Anniversary of the establishment of the Diocese of Quebec and of the Church in North America under the leadership of St. Francois de Laval is full! The pilgrims will have the opportunity to visit holy sites in Quebec City and elsewhere in the Province of Quebec. We pray for safe travel for the pilgrims!
