Heart to Heart: Issue #518

FOSTER PARENTS ARE ESSENTIAL to the caring ministry of the Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Hamilton (CCASH)! The Agency is celebrating the important service of Foster Parents at a gala dinner at Michelangelo’s Banquet Centre tonight. Important anniversaries of service will be honoured and retiring foster parents will be thanked. It is always an emotionally charged evening – since it is all about providing love and care when it is needed most! Interested in saving lives? Consider being foster parents for children who need your support! The need is great – contact Catholic Children’s Aid!

THE FOUR CONSTITUTIONS OF VATICAN II is the topic of a four-part webinar series hosted by the CCCB Office for Evangelization and Catechesis. All sessions run on the Tuesdays in November from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. EST and are available across Canada. St. Joseph’s Health System is the largest Catholic healthcare provider in Canada, a legacy of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Hamilton! Thousands of patients are provided care by doctors, nurses, spiritual care providers and other health care professionals in these institutions every day!

SISTER MARIE TAYLOR, SSND, spoke eloquently at St. Jerome’s Feast last week at St. Jerome’s University. On the cusp of her 100th birthday, she spoke about her experiences as Chaplain at the University, and her missionary experiences earlier in her life. “It’s easy to get to 100,” she explained, “you just have to keep breathing!” Happy birthday, Sister! Thank you for a life of consoling service!

THE DEDICATION OF ST. CATHERINE OF SIENA PARISH in Hamilton takes place this Sunday afternoon, beginning at 3:00 p.m. Priests from across the Diocese and parishioners from the Parish will have their first opportunity to see the recently completed building.
