POPE FRANCIS CELEBRATES THE 10th ANNIVERSARY of his election as Supreme Pontiff next Monday, March 13th. The Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development has initiated a special prayer initiative for the occasion. The faithful worldwide are invited to pray at least one “Hail Mary” for the Holy Father to mark the anniversary. As part of the initiative, a special “online” map will feature virtual lighted candles representing the prayers of the faithful who have registered. The map will be offered as a gift in support of his ministry. If you wish to register, please use this link – choosing your language preference at the upper right hand corner. The Vatican News press release is available here. May the Holy Father be strongly supported by the fervent prayers of the faithful!

THE IGNATIUS JESUIT CENTRE in Guelph is one of the quiet blessings in the Diocese of Hamilton. Father Roger Yaworski, S.J., serves as the Executive Director of the centre which offers many retreat and training opportunities to revive and deepen our spiritual experience. Check out their website for current offerings. In addition to retreats, the Jesuits invite “hands-on” experience at their Jesuit Farm. Orchard pruning and planning opportunities are offered and the “old growth forest” is an example of care for our common home.
PRIESTS SERVING IN THE DIOCESE OF HAMILTON are reminded of the Convocation Day scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Holy Family Parish Hall, Kitchener.
