Mass of Chrism 2026

The Diocese of Hamilton will gather for the Mass of Chrism at the Cathedral Basilica of Christ the King in Hamilton.
At this solemn Holy Week liturgy, Bishop Dabrowski will consecrate the Sacred Chrism and bless the Oil of the Sick and the Oil of Catechumens, which will be used in sacramental celebrations throughout the year across the Diocese. During the Mass, the priests of the Diocese will also renew the vows made at their priestly ordination.
The Chrism Mass is a beautiful sign of the unity of the Church, bringing together clergy and faithful from throughout the Diocese in prayer as we prepare for Easter.
