The Reel Justice Film Festival Presents a Double-Header:
Thursday, February 23 at 7:00PM ET on Zoom

Safe explores the housing and opioid crises through the stories of tenants that live in Indwell affordable housing units. Filmed in Hamilton, London, Woodstock, Simcoe and Mississauga, SAFE follows Indwell, a Christian charity that focuses on supportive affordable housing for people experiencing poverty because of their mental health and/or substance use disorders. Run time: 43 minutes

A Better Tent City follows a group of dedicated individuals, including those living rough, service providers, community members and municipal staff, working together to create a self-organized housing community in Kitchener, ON. Run time: 18 minutes

Post-film discussion with special guests:

Fr. Toby Collins, C.R., Pastor at St. Mary, Kitchener will speak about Tiny Homes and A Better Tent City, and Jess Brand, Indwell regional manager for Hamilton, will discuss the community engagement, programs, and initiatives offered through Indwell.
