
RCIA Workshop: The Word of God in the Sacraments

Who is this conference for?
This workshop is for anyone who is involved in the preparation of people celebrating the Sacraments of Initiation.
What is this conference about?
We are called to hear and reflect on the Word of God more deeply, become the word of God ourselves and proclaim it by our lives. This workshop will focus on the role of the Word of God in our lives as Catholics. We shall explore the place God's Word has in the preparation for Baptism, Confirmation and first sharing in Holy Communion, as well as the implications of having the Word of God at the heart of the initiation process (RCIA).
The conference is for all who prepare others to celebrate a sacrament of initiation including:
- Pastors and Deacons
- Those who lead the parish RCIA, including leaders for Breaking Open the Word
- Parish leaders responsible for Baptism preparation of infants
- Leaders of the parish Confirmation preparation
- Leaders of the parish First Communion preparation
- All people who have a passion for God's Word
Cost of Conference
$60.00 (includes conference, Friday night social, lunch on Saturday)
Early Bird Rate: $50.00 if registering before August 27, 2018
ACCOMMODATIONS
A limited number of rooms have been reserved at the Comfort Inn, 58 King George Road, Brantford. The rate is $119.99 plus tax (two double beds).
