Ministers of the Word Reflection Days
Who is the workshop for?
Ministers of the Word who have been proclaiming the Word of God during the Sunday Eucharist and other liturgical celebrations of the Christian community are invited to participate in this day of reflection to renew their mandate and refresh their understanding of the ministry.
What is the workshop about?
An overview of the Psalms and how they are much more than a musical interlude between the readings.The Psalms formed an integral part of the prayer and worship of the Jewish people, and therefore, of Jesus Himself.
Throughout the centuries the Psalms have also had an important place in Christian worship.Today we will look at the place of the Psalms in our worship and our prayer life, and discover how praying the Psalms can help us draw closer to the heart and mind of Jesus, and His Church.
