Marriage Outside the Church
Marriage in the Catholic Church is a Sacrament and as such, is celebrated within the church setting.
Before making wedding plans it is important to contact your parish priest.
The parish priest will work with you to ensure your marriage follows the correct Catholic protocols.
For Catholics, who may have married outside the Church — for whatever reason — the appropriate course of action is to speak to their parish priest regarding the possibility of being married in the Church.
