Theology for Ministry
Sponsored by The Office for Discipleship & Parish Life Diocese of Hamilton
The Office for Discipleship and Parish life is offering a new program for lay parish associates, lay chaplains, and all lay parish ministers in the Hamilton Diocese. This Program consists of a series of six workshops which are designed to give participants an opportunity to reflect on their own experiences in ministry and to deepen their knowledge and understanding of the rich theology which grounds their ministry.
The main resource for these workshops is the newly published book, Theology for Ministry, by Edward P. Hahnenberg (Liturgical Press, 2014). Dr. Hahnenberg is a much respected theologian and educator, a past consultant to the US Bishop’s Subcommittee on Lay Ministry, and currently he is Chair in Catholic Systematic Theology at John Carroll University, Cleveland, Ohio. His book “offers the best of today’s theology to educate and inspire today’s ministers in language that is completely accessible (Book Jacket).”
