Diocese of Hamilton Student Awards: Sydney Black

Diocese of Hamilton Student Awards: Sydney Black

of St. Mary Catholic Secondary School, Owen Sound

Sydney Black has been a long-standing member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Owen Sound. Sydney's involvement in the church really increased when Father Kuzma came to the Parish. His sermons and enthusiasm prompted her to become an altar server, which until Covid, she had done for the past four years. The other major influencing factor in her Catholic journey is the book “Resisting Happiness” by Matthew Kelly, the founder of Dynamic Catholic. Sydney's dream job is to work for this organization in the future!

Congratulations Sydney!
