Highlights from 2019 Annual Multicultural Mass
Many of our diocesan nationalities filled the Cathedral Basilica of Christ the King on Sunday October 6th, 2019 for the Annual Multicultural Mass. It was a marvelous celebration of faith shared by all present, and highlighted the powerful expression of our faith that exists in many languages and cultures.
Bishop Crosby welcomed and reminded everyone that the Cathedral is home to all; that once in Canada we are no longer refugees or migrants – but newcomers. Each of us is a newcomer in Christ. After Mass, many of the national communities danced and sang while we tasted and enjoyed a wide variety of national foods. It was a truly joyous occasion and we thank everyone who shared in the celebration with us.
