Diocese of Hamilton Student Awards: Darius Nguyen
Darius Nguyen is a student from Jean Vanier Catholic Secondary School in Milton who exemplifies the ‘Catholic Graduate Expectations.’ He is a self-directed responsible learner who has been on the honour roll every year and graduated as an Ontario Scholar.
Darius is an effective communicator and collaborative contributor as evidenced by his service in tutoring fellow Jean Vanier students. He is also a responsible citizen, volunteering many hours of service for a diverse group of organizations, including the Town of Milton, the Toronto Vietnamese Association and the Jean Vanier school community.
The Diocese of Hamilton Award is given to a student in the graduating class in every high school across the Diocese at the end of every school year. The Award recognizes a student in the graduating class who has attained high academic proficiency and exemplifies Catholic leadership qualities, Christian values and a commitment to service in the community.
