Diocese of Hamilton Student Awards: Jacob Bresolin

Throughout his four years at St. Mary CSS, Jacob has proven himself to be a multi-talented individual. He has excelled in both academics and sports, as well as demonstrating excellent leadership qualities. He was an outstanding student, consistently achieving Honour Roll status and receiving multiple academic awards at Graduation.

His many contributions to the vibrant school community at St. Mary include being a prefect, a lead member of the Athletic Committee, as well as an active participant in many sports. In cross country, Jacob earned a spot to compete at GHAC, and in swimming, he won Gold at the city championships. He is an avid rower and earned the leadership role of captain and won a city championship in both men’s single and men’s quadruple.

Jacob’s Catholic faith is an integral part of his life and it was strengthened when he participated in the life-changing experience of being a DREAMS participant. Jacob truly embodies the qualities of a caring, Catholic student and exemplifies the motto of a St. Mary CSS graduate; Live, Love, and Learn.

The Diocese of Hamilton Award is given to a student in the graduating class in every high school across the Diocese at the end of every school year. The Award recognizes a student in the graduating class who has attained high academic proficiency and exemplifies Catholic leadership qualities, Christian values and a commitment to service in the community.
