The First Diocesan Tri-Chaplaincy Leadership Summit

The Newman Centre Guelph hosted the first Diocesan tri-chaplaincy Leadership Summit the weekend of August 4th to 6th. The event included student executive members of the University Catholic Community (Guelph), McMaster Catholic Students Association (MACSA), and the St. John Paul II Student Centre (Waterloo).

The theme of the summit was evangelization. This theme was based on the following questions adapted from the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola: What have we done for Christ?, What‎ are we doing for Christ?, What ought we do for Christ?

The keynote address was given by Fr. Graham Keep of the Diocese of London on the topic of  Evangelizing in a Postmodern Culture. After presenting on the previous year's activities, students engaged in a number of workshops on evangelization, and spent the final day planning activities for their respective campuses for the coming year. Bishop Crosby and his mother came for Mass and dinner to close the event, which was a great success!
