Organist/Accompanist
St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Community in Elmira, Ontario is looking for an experienced Organist/Accompanist for Saturday afternoon Mass and one Rehearsal weekly. This position includes extra possibilities for added services and professional development.
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Hamilton, established in 1856, is the second largest diocese in English speaking Canada and serves the needs of more than 626,000 Roman Catholics, throughout Southwestern Ontario. The Organist/Accompanist will work closely with the Parish Priest, and choir director in liturgy planning.
Compensation is based on competitive salaries determined upon skill and experience. St. Teresa is looking to expand and enhance its Music Ministry and therefore looking for an individual with a likeminded attitude.
Required Qualifications:
- Experienced musician with liturgical knowledge.
- Interest in a wide range of musical experiences.
- Possess a working knowledge of music in the Catholic Liturgical tradition.
- Ability to work well and collaboratively with others, both staff and congregation.
