Lianna Genovese

St. Thomas More Catholic Secondary School

Lianna Genovese’s strong moral character and concern for others and her community are evident in the numerous hours she volunteers.  She was the Executive Team Leader for her School’s Breakfast Program preparing and serving food for students while creating a friendly and welcoming environment to others before school daily for the past four years. Lianna was selected as Prefect Student Leader whereby she assisted with academics (tutoring on her lunch and after school), organizing activities for special needs students, and planning for grade 8 to 9 transition events.  She has helped many new students feel more comfortable by giving presentations to grade nine classes and by organizing activities to introduce high school life. 

As the Knight Runners’ Executive Team Leader, Lianna has represented the School in organizing numerous charity runs, collecting donations and raising awareness for causes such as CityKidz, Heart and Stroke, and Salvation Army.  During her four years at St. Thomas More CSS, Lianna was a member of the School’s Swim Team, Junior and Senior Girls’ Soccer Teams, and the Running Team.  In all her athletic endeavours, Lianna is a valuable and highly respected teammate.  She is a competitive, hardworking athlete who exhibits sportsmanship and comradery in all that she does.

In each year of high school, Lianna maintained Honour Roll status, “top-10”, at St. Thomas More C.S.S.  Her academic performance typifies her work ethic and her desire to succeed.
