On Sunday, December 13th, Bishop Crosby led over 900 strong through the Holy Doors at the Cathedral Basilica of Christ the King. It was a wonderful event that marked the start of the Jubilee Year of Mercy.

Msgr. Murray Kroetsch and Msgr. Earl Talbot participated in a friendship and solidarity visit to the Archdiocese of Port-au-Prince, Haiti from November 26 – 30th. They were welcomed by Msgr. Serge Chadic, the Chancellor and Msgr. Pierre Philippe Jean-Pierre, the Vicar for Clergy.
Goodness abounds! This Christmas, as a counterpoint to the destructive forces of misery and terror that we have witnessed these past months, we must not forget that goodness abounds! More than not forgetting, let us be ready to point it out when we see it.

At the invitation of His Excellency, Bishop Crosby, the Diocese of Hamilton welcomed Archbishop Christian Lépine from the Archdiocese of Montreal on the weekend of November 21st and 22nd. The Diocese was very happy to host the Archbishop and pray that his visit to our Diocese was an occasion of blessing for all.

November 4th, 2015: The 5th Annual "Evening with Bishop Crosby" fundraiser dinner was a sold out event that raised over $23,000 in support of the Halton Catholic Children's Education Foundation (HCCEF), a registered charity that provides equitable educational opportunities for students to succeed in Halton.
Most Reverend Douglas Crosby, O.M.I., Bishop of Hamilton and President of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB), has sent a letter conveying condolences and prayers to His Eminence André Cardinal Vingt-Trois, Archbishop of Paris, following the tragic attacks in Paris, November 13, 2015.

November 1st, 2015: Part of the celebrations for the Year of Consecrated Life, a Mass of Thanksgiving was held at the Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate in Guelph. May God continue to bless the Diocese of Hamilton with more faith-filled men and women called to live the vocation to Consecrated Life.
After four months of intensive work, parishioners returning to St. Patrick’s Church in Cambridge will find their building much changed. On Saturday October 31st, Bishop Crosby will join the 5 o’clock mass to rededicate the church and then be their guest at an informal Wine and Cheese reception in the parish hall.
On Sunday, November 1st at 3:00p.m. at Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate in Guelph, Bishop Crosby will celebrate Mass for all the religious priests, sisters and brothers who serve in the Diocese of Hamilton. This Mass will mark the conclusion of the Year of the Religious proclaimed by Pope Francis.
On Sunday, November 1st, St. Aloysius Parish in Kitchener will have their dedication ceremony of their Lost Child Prayer Garden led by Bishop Douglas Crosby, followed by a communal lunch.

Singers are invited to form a choir for two upcoming liturgical celebrations at the Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate, Guelph, ON. Attendance at the two rehearsals is required for those who wish to sing at these celebrations: Saturday, October 24 from 2-3:30pm and Wednesday, October 28 from 7:30-9:00. All rehearsals will be held at the Basilica, 28 Norfolk Street in Guelph.
